Spinners help India claim exciting win
India secured an exciting 38-run warm-up win over Australia on Sunday.

Australia collapsed from 118-1 to 176 all out as it failed to cope with the Indian spin attack which performed brilliantly on a turning track in Bengaluru.

Piyush Chawla was the pick of the bowlers as he took 4-31, while Harbhajan Singh claimed 3-15.

Earlier Virender Sehwag made an excellent innings of 54 as India's batting failed to fire against a strong Australia pace attack, with Brett Lee (3-35) and John Hastings (2-24) looking particularly impressive.

At 138-8, India looked like recording a low total, but some excellent batting by the tail, in particular by Yusuf Pathan (32), who hit two massive sixes, helped India to 214 all out.

Shane Watson (33) and Tim Paine (57) gave Australia an excellent start, with Ricky Ponting returning to the side with a solid 57.

But then India's spinners took control, as Australia's batting failed to cope with the spinning conditions.
